From the roar of the crowd at kickoff to the final whistle, every moment was electric—and I was right there on the sidelines, camera in hand, trying to capture the energy, intensity, and emotion of it all.
Shooting a live CFL game is fast-paced and unpredictable—much like the game itself. Every play could be the shot: a sideline sprint, a quarterback under pressure, or a touchdown celebration bursting with emotion. I had to stay alert, move quickly, and anticipate the action, all while framing it through the lens.
What made this experience even more special was the atmosphere at Tim Hortons Field. The fans were all in, and you could feel the pride for the Black and Gold in every chant. Even the visiting Stampeders brought some serious grit, making it a tightly contested game full of great moments on both sides.
As a photographer, moments like these are why I do what I do—being able to freeze raw emotion and fast action into still frames that tell the story of the game.
